Types of Window Designs

16 Jul

You need sufficient windows for your home for you to have adequate ventilation and light.  The  architectural design of your building needs to be decorated by  window designs that make it attractive. These are the types of windows to choose.

A crank is used to pivot the awning window from the top of the sash when you need to open it out. Awning windows are paired with large picture windows. The awning windows can be placed along the bottom, sides or at the top of the picture window so that there is proper ventilation.  Like the transom windows, these types of windows can be installed above the doors. They are not recommended to be placed areas where people frequently pass because they open out and can hurt people.

Casement windows are like awning windows because they open out, but they are pivoted from side hinges.  The casement windows have large-sized window panes to allow  enough light and air circulation inside the house.

Enhance the security of your loved ones using egress windows.  If you cannot access other exits such as the door during emergencies like intruders breaking into your home, you can use the egress windows. They are installed at the basement.

The most common window designs are the single-hung and double-hung windows.  The  double-hung windows have no fixed sashes like the  single-hung windows that have fixed upper sashes.  There is sufficient air circulation in and out of the room through the lower and upper opening of the double-hung window.  You can clean the inside and outside of the double-hung window without using a ladder to clean the outside.

Picture windows are used for lighting the house instead of ventilation because they do not open.  There is minimal air leakage when you use  picture windows and like operable ones.

Bay windows are used to  create unique angles and projections on a building. You can open them for ventilation and lighting because they allow light to enter at different angles.

The sideways of the slider windows are slide opened.  There is enough ventilation and light you when you use slider windows. Check out these kanata windows and doors or for more details, view here!

The house needs sufficient light and glass block windows to offer that.  Enough light comes into the room through the patterns adorning the glass block windows.  Basements, bathrooms and other private areas are installed with glass block windows for privacy.

If you need air conditioning because of the warm weather, you can install jalousie windows.  You can open the glass sets in the metal clips like louvers. They provide maximum airflow, but since they are narrow, they offer limited views. Continue reading more on this here: https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/yanic-simard/drapery_b_5751756.html.
